District of Columbia
Trafficking training required
The District of Columbia’s Municipal Regulations have been amended to require instruction on human trafficking.
Individuals applying for a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) or transferring their commercial driver’s license (CDL) to Washington, DC, are now required to complete training in the recognition, prevention, and reporting of human trafficking.
Montana
FMCSR adoption
Montana has adopted, by reference, Parts 373, 375, 377-379, 382-383, 385, 386 Subpart F, 387, 390-399, and Appendix G to Subchapter B of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), as updated through April 8, 2021.
The adoption includes incorporation, by reference, of the April 1, 2021, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria.
The adoption was effective July 10, 2021.
Texas
FMCSR adoption
The Texas Department of Public Safety has incorporated, by reference, Parts 40, 380 Subpart E, 382, 385-387, 390-393, and 395-397 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), as amended through June 1, 2021.
The adoption was effective June 29, 2021.
Washington
FMCSR adoption
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission has updated its intrastate adoption of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs).
The agency has adopted, by reference, Parts 40, 379, 380, 382, 383, 385, 390, 391, 392, 393, 395, 396, and 397 of the FMCSRs as they were in effect on December 31, 2020. The adoption was effective July 23, 2021.
The Utilities and Transportation Commission prescribes rules and regulations for household goods carriers, solid waste collection companies, and common carrier brokers in the state of Washington.
