Driver disqualification
['Commercial drivers license CDL', 'Entry-Level driver training']

- Driver disqualification includes:
- The suspension, revocation, or cancellation of a commercial driver's license (CDL) or commercial learner's permit (CLP) by an issuing state;
- Any withdrawal of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) privileges because of violation of vehicle traffic control laws; or
- A determination by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) that the driver is not qualified to operate a CMV.
A person required to have a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) or a commercial driver’s license (CDL), who is disqualified, must not drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) and an employer must not knowingly allow, require, permit, or authorize a driver who is disqualified to drive a CMV.
The CDL disqualification provisions are located in 383.51.
