Effective January 1, 2024, OSHA revised the injury and illness data reporting requirements. The obligations depend on the size (number of employees) and industry of each establishment or business location. Each worker employed in an establishment at any time during the calendar year counts as one employee, including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and temporary workers. The rule covers three categories:
Establishments with 250 or more employees that are required to keep OSHA injury and illness records must electronically submit information from the 300A.
Establishments with 20 to 249 employees in the industries listed in Appendix A to Subpart E of Part 1904 must electronically submit data from the 300A.
Establishments with 100 or more employees in the industries listed in Appendix B to Subpart E of Part 1904 must electronically submit certain information from the 300 Log and 301 Forms in addition to the 300A.
