Underground Storage Tank (UST) Regulations State Comparison

Each state manages underground storage tanks differently. Use the chart below to determine if additional requirements apply to your operations. State UST regulations must be at least as stringent as the federal regulations. When EPA has approved a state’s UST program, tank owners and operators in that state may follow the state.
