This standard applies to instruments, control rooms, motors, motor controllers, switchgear and similar equipment, and covers the methods for purging and pressurizing enclosures to prevent the build-up and ignition of a flammable atmosphere.

29 CFR 1910.103(c)(1)(ix)(b)(1) | Employers must ensure that - except as provided at 1910.103(c )(1)(ix)(a) - electrical wiring and equipment located within 25 feet of a point where connections are regularly made and disconnected or within 25 feet of a liquid hydrogen storage container is in accordance with 1910 Subpart S for Class I, Group B, Division 2 locations.
