This case meets OSHA’s three criteria that make a case recordable.

It is a new case.
It required medical treatment.
It is work-related because the employee took medication provided by you, the employer. Although there is an exemption for negative reactions to medication, it applies only for medication brought from home to treat a non-work-related condition (1904.5(b)(2)(vi).

If the employee had a reaction to medication brought from home, it would not be recordable. To avoid self-medication liability issues, many employers no longer stock these items in first aid cabinets.
