EPA 550-B-24-001 List of lists [April 2025]

Summary

The List of Lists is a consolidated chemical list produced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be used as a reference tool, not as a definitive source of compliance information. The List of Lists includes chemicals subject to reporting requirements under:

• The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) sections 302, 304, and 313;
• The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) sections 102 and 103;
• Section 112(r)(7) of the Clean Air Act (CAA), and
• Section 311(j)(5) of the Clean Water Act (CWA).

This consolidated list does not include all hazardous chemicals subject to the reporting requirements in EPCRA sections 311 and 312, however.

This document also includes a list of:

• Radionuclides reportable under CERCLA (refer to Appendix B);
• Waste stream codes for listed and unlisted hazardous wastes under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) (refer to Appendix C);
• Definitions of chemical categories listed under EPCRA section 313 (refer to Appendix D);
• Definitions or clarifications of CERCLA chemical categories (refer to Appendix G).
