OSHA explains that some training requirements call for adequate or effective training or instruction. Whether virtual reality training methods provide adequate or effective training may only be determined on a case-by-case basis. To be effective, training should include hands-on instruction or exercises, the agency argues. In some cases, effective training must also provide an opportunity for interactive questions and answers, site-specific training, and/or job-specific training.
