Yes, but only if the 2-hour break is combined with another break of at least 8 consecutive hours in a sleeper berth. That is, in order to extend the 14-hour period with a rest break, the driver must obtain the two qualifying breaks needed for the �split-sleeper� exception described in 395.1(g)(1). The driver must have one period of at least 7 consecutive hours in a sleeper berth and another period of at least 2 consecutive hours comprised of any combination of off-duty or sleeper-berth time, for a total of at least 10 hours. All other sleeper or off-duty periods of less than 10 hours must be included in the 14-hour calculation.
