Who must submit data from Forms 300, 301, and/or 300A electronically to OSHA?
Effective January 1, 2024, three categories of establishments must routinely submit injury and illness data electronically by March 2 each year:

| Establishments with 250 or more employees (at any time during the previous calendar year) and required to maintain an OSHA 300 Log (or equivalent) | Data from the OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, covering the previous year |
| Establishments with 20 to 249 employees (at any time during the previous calendar year) and classified in an industry listed in Appendix A to Subpart E of 29 CFR 1904 | Data from the OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, covering the previous year |
| Establishments with 100 or more employees (during the previous calendar year) and classified in an industry listed in Appendix B to Subpart E of 29 CFR 1904 | Data covering the previous year from the:

If an establishment is NOT in a routine electronic submission category above, then that establishment is NOT required to electronically submit 29 CFR 1904 records data to OSHA or OSHA’s designee, UNLESS OSHA notifies the establishment by mail as part of an individual data collection. In that case, the establishment will collect and submit the information specified in the notification as directed.
