Effective January 1, 2024, three categories of employers must electronically submit certain injury data by March 2 each year.
Establishments with 250 or more employees that are required to maintain an OSHA 300 Log must electronically submit to OSHA the data from the 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses from the prior year.
Establishments with 20-249 employees in certain high-risk industries (listed in Part 1904, Appendix A to Subpart E) must electronically submit to OSHA data from the 300A Summary.
Establishments with 100 or more employees in certain high-risk industries (listed in Part 1904, Appendix B to Subpart E) must electronically submit to OSHA specified data from the OSHA 300 Log, 301 Forms, and 300A Summary.
Establishments with fewer than 20 employees at all times during the year do not have to routinely submit information electronically to OSHA. However, they must submit information from the injury and illness records to OSHA if OSHA notifies them to do so for an individual data collection.
