What qualifies someone to administer a hearing test?

The noise standard says the audiometric tests must be performed by a licensed or certified audiologist, otolaryngologist, or other physician, or by a technician who is certified by the Council of Accreditation in Occupation Hearing Conservation, or who has satisfactorily demonstrated competence in administering audiometric examinations. You can ask to see the credentials of the person giving the test, or ask to see proof of licensing.
