Other employees are employees in the work area of equipment that is being LOTO and are not directly affected by the equipment. These other employees include employees whose work operations are or may be in an area where energy control procedures may be utilized. The other employees are required by 29CFR1910.147(c)(7)(i)(C) to be instructed about the LOTO procedure, and that they are prohibited from attempted to to restart or re-energize machines or equipment which are locked out or tagged out.
