The detailed requirements for the contents of a pesticide registration application are listed at 40 CFR 152.50.
Generally, the following information must be included:
- The application form,
- The identity of the applicant,
- A list of data submitted with a brief description of the results of the studies,
- The identity of the product,
- Draft labeling,
- Registration data requirements (including any known information regarding unreasonable adverse effects on human health or the environment),
- Certification relating to child-resistant packaging,
- A request for classification (if applicable), and
- A statement concerning tolerances (if applicable).
Additionally, applicants must pay a fee required by the Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act.
Keep in mind that an EPA company number must be assigned to the applicant first before registering a pesticide.
