There are a number of options, but these elements will help ensure compliance with any OSHA standard:
- Purpose
- Administrative duties
- Company information
- Affected persons
- Affected operations
- Hazard evaluation
- Medical surveillance
- Control measures
- Operating procedures
- Emergency situations
- Inspections
- Security
- Notification
- Recordkeeping
- Marking
- Training
- Contractors
- Other requirements
- Plan evaluation
- Appendices
Employer may use all of these elements or just some depending on the topic.
For example, a medical surveillance element would likely not be included in a plan for ladders, but would include sections on operating procedures, inspections, training, etc.
