ANSI/CGA G.7-1 – 1989 specifies the contents of Grade D breathing air as: oxygen (volume/volume) of 19.5 to 23.5 percent; hydrocarbon (condensed) of 5 mg/m3 of air or less; carbon monoxide of 10 parts per million (ppm) or less; carbon dioxide of 1,000 ppm or less; and a lack of a noticeable odor.
