South Carolina payment of wages and child labor laws are administered by the Office of Labor Services in the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
State Child Labor Laws: SC rules and regulations on child labor are identical to those adopted by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division. These rules limit the work hours of persons 14 and 15 years old and prohibit the employment of persons under 18 years of age in occupations determined to be hazardous.
South Carolina child labor rules can be found in Chapter 13 of Title 41, South Carolina Code of Laws
State Minimum Wage: South Carolina does not have a state minimum wage law.
State Prevailing Wage: South Carolina does not have a prevailing wage law.
