The Wage and Hour Unit investigates wage claims and enforces Oklahoma's child labor statutes.
State Child Labor Laws: Oklahoma child labor statutes prohibit minors from working in hazardous occupations. Minors have certain allowable hours they can work. Minors 14 and 15 years of age must have a work permit.

State Minimum Wage: The minimum wage for Oklahoma is $7.25 per hour.
Oklahoma adopts the federal minimum wage rate by reference. Oklahoma minimum wage rules can be found at Title 40, Section 197.2 of the Oklahoma State Statutes
Overtime: Non-exempt employees are to be paid 11/2 times their regular rate for all hours worked over 40 in the work week if the company is required to comply with Federal wage and hour laws.
State Prevailing Wage: The Oklahoma prevailing wage law was invalidated by a 1995 court decision.
