The Idaho Department of Labor is responsible for the state’s wage and hour laws including Idaho Minimum Wage Law and the Wage Payment Act.
State Child Labor Laws: The Child Labor Law restricts hours of work and prohibits employment in hazardous or indecent occupations. Permitted jobs for minors under 14 years of age and educational requirements for minors under 16 years of age are outlined.

State Minimum Wage: As of July 1, 2007, the Idaho minimum wage will conform to, and track with, the federal minimum wage.
