Washington, D.C. is not an OSHA-approved State Plan and is under federal OSHA jurisdiction which covers most private sector workers within the state. There is one addition to carcinogen requirements:
- The Human and Environmental Health Protection Act of 2010 prohibits the manufacture, sale, and distribution of products containing carcinogenic flame retardants.
