Dear Mr. Jarboe:
This is in response to your October 12, 2011, letter to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). You requested information on starting a small business or a small moving and demolition clean-up company.
Enclosed is a copy of the Small Business Handbook and few other pamphlets you may find helpful. Also, enclosed is an OSHA Quick Card on Demolition Safety Tips. In addition, OSHA has an onsite consultation program that is administered by the states. It is a service that is funded by OSHA and it is free to the user. Additional information on this service can be found at https://www.osha.gov/dcsp/smallbusiness/consult.html. Our website, accessible at http://www.osha.gov, contains a wealth of information on training programs and required certifications for private sector industries. A search of our website may provide you with the information you seek.
Thank you for your interest in occupational safety and health.
Sincerely,
Thomas Galassi, Director
Directorate of Enforcement Programs
