Length special limitations or restrictions | California is very strict with length and KPRA. Travel not advised if KPRA length is over posted value. A forklift that is lifted off the ground and is being transported on the back of a truck is considered a load. When combination length exceeds 75', the load must be confined within the exterior dimensions of the vehicle. To the rear, the load cannot extend beyond the last point of support for a greater distance than that equal to two-thirds of the length of the wheelbase. The wheelbase of a semitrailer is considered the distance between the rearmost axle of the towing vehicle and the rearmost axle of the semitrailer. | |
