Overview
Two of the agencies responsible for commercial vehicle safety in Maryland are the State Highway Administration and Maryland State Police. Parts 40, 382, 383, 387, 390-393, 395-399, and 1572 have been incorporated by reference, as amended, for intrastate operations in Maryland. This adoption is effective February 6, 2012.
Applicability
The regulations apply to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating of 10,001 or more pounds as well as to anyone transporting hazardous materials requiring placarding.
