Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation has incorporated, by reference (with some modifications), Parts 40, 379, 382, 383, 385, 390-393, 395-397, and 399 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations revised as of October 1, 2020 (and no later amendments or editions). This adoption was effective November 2, 2021.
Applicability
The incorporated regulations apply to a single motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles that is designed, used, or maintained to transport passengers or property in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise which has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or gross weight of 26,001 pounds or more, and vehicles hauling hazardous materials in an amount required to be placarded.
