The state of Nevada requires employers with 10 or more employees, or those who manufacture explosives, to establish a written safety program. For employers with 25 or more employees, that safety program must include the establishment of a safety committee. The written safety program must:
Describe the way that safety committee members are chosen;
Outline the purpose and duties of the safety committee; and
Establish the frequency of meetings of the safety committee.
Safety committees must include employee representatives.
