The following is Title IV of the 2005 Highway Reauthorization Bill, also known as the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient, Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). Title IV contains the motor carrier safety provisions. The bill was signed into law on August 10, 2005, and is divided into four subtitles.

TITLE IV —MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY
SECTION 4001. SHORT TITLE.
This title may be cited as the “Motor Carrier Safety Reauthorization Act of 2005”.
