Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
Employer defined
“Employer” means the state of Wyoming or any political subdivision, and every other person employing two or more employees within the state; but it does not mean religious organizations or associations.
Unlawful employment practices
Although the state law prohibits religious discrimination, it does not include provisions that specifically require employers to reasonably accommodate an employee’s religious beliefs. However, the federal Guidelines on Discrimination Because of Religion would still apply to covered employers.
