Nevada has adopted Sec. 390.15 of the Federal Regulations, which includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Applicability
Section 390.15 applies to intrastate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, or gross combination weight of 26,001 or more pounds, or any vehicle transporting hazardous materials as defined in NRS 459.7024.
Notification
When a driver is involved in an accident that was not investigated by a law enforcement agency, a written or electronic report of the accident must be submitted by the driver within 10 days if anyone is killed or injured, or if the accident results in over $750 damage to the property of any one person.
If a driver is physically unable to make the report, he/she is not required to file the report during his/her period of incapacity. If the driver is not the owner of the vehicle, the owner must, within 10 days after knowledge of the accident make the report not made by the driver.

The department may require additional information of a driver if the report filed by a police officer or highway patrol trooper is incomplete.
How to obtain accident reports
Procedure
A crash report may be obtained from the regional office in the area in which the crash occurred. The report request form may be accessed at https://nhp.nv.gov/Reports/Crash_Report_Request/.
Fees
$10.00 for each report.
