Idaho has adopted Sec. 390.15 of the Federal Regulations, which includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Applicability
Section 390.15 applies to intrastate carriers operating commercial motor vehicles transporting property with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight, or gross combination weight rating greater than 26,000 pounds, and intrastate carriers transporting placardable quantities of hazardous material subject to the authority of the Idaho State Police.
Notification
If a motor vehicle is involved in an accident which results in injury to or death of any person, or damage to the property of any one person in excess of $1,500 shall immediately by the quickest means of communication give notice of such accident to the local police, county sheriff, or the state police.
How to obtain accident reports
Procedure
An official accident report for any accident that results in more than $1,500 damage to any one vehicle or injury to any person should be obtained from the Idaho Transportation Department.

Fees
A fee of $9.00 is charged for each report.
