This standard applies to the highway transportation of LP-Gas and to the design, construction, installation and operation of all LP-Gas systems, except LP-Gas refrigerated storage systems, marine and pipeline terminals, natural gas processing plants, refineries, petrochemical plants or tank farms, LP-Gas at utility gas plants, or plants covered by NFPA 51 or NFPA 54. Among other things, the standard requires that all gases be odorized by the addition of a warning agent, and that all persons employed in handling LP-Gases be properly trained.
