Nevada’s engine idling limits apply to the engine of a diesel truck or bus.

Exceptions: There are exceptions for:

State issued variances;
Emergency vehicles;
Snow removal;
Repair or maintenance of other vehicles;
Traffic congestion;
Emission contained and treated by a state approved method; and
Performing a specific task for which the vehicle is designed (well drilling, trenching, hoisting) when an air pollution emergency is not in effect.

Maximum idle time

May not idle for more than 15 consecutive minutes
