The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) tells employers to carefully review the regulations located at 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 711 to determine their reporting requirements. Employers should consider the following three steps to determine whether and what information they are required to report for each chemical substance that they manufactured (including imported) in/into the United States since the last principal reporting year: Step I: Is their chemical substance subject to the CDR rule? Step II: Is the company a manufacturer (including importer) who is required to report? Step III: What information must the company report?
