Maryland incorporated by reference the federal regulations for fire prevention plans at 29 CFR 1910.38(b) [as published September 12, 1980]. Federal OSHA has since revised the rule for fire prevention plans. The revised rule at 29 CFR 1910.39 was effective December 9, 2002. Maryland has not yet adopted federal OSHA's revisions.
