Summary of state requirements: Effective September, 15, 2025, employers must provide new hires with a notice informing them of their right to paid sick time; the amount of paid sick time; the terms of its use guaranteed under the Nebraska Healthy Families and Workplaces Act; that retaliatory action is prohibited; that employees have a right to file a suit or complaint if their rights are denied; and contact information for the state Department of Labor.
