Federal regulations

New Mexico has adopted Part 392 of the Federal Regulations.

Applicability

Part 392 applies to intrastate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, gross vehicle weight, or gross combination weight of 26,001 or more pounds (whichever is greater), and any vehicle transporting hazardous materials requiring placarding.

Speed limit

75 mph on rural interstates, as posted on other roads.
