Idaho has adopted Part 392 of the Federal Regulations.
Applicability
Part 392 applies to intrastate carriers operating commercial motor vehicles transporting property with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight, or gross combination weight rating greater than 10,000 pounds, and intrastate carriers transporting placardable quantities of hazardous material subject to the authority of the Idaho State Police.
Speed limit
The speed limit is 75 mph on interstate highways, 80 mph on designated portions of interstate highways (as posted). For vehicles with five or more axles operating at a gross weight of more than 26,000 pounds the speed limit on interstate highways is 65 mph, 70 mph on designated portions of interstate highways (as posted). On state highways the speed limit is 70 mph (or as posted).
