Massachusetts has adopted Part 392 of the Federal Regulations.
Part 392 applies to vehicles having a gross vehicle weight rating, gross vehicle weight, gross combination weight rating, or gross combination weight of 10,001 pounds or more that are used for the transportation of property, and vehicles transporting a placardable amount of hazardous materials.
A motor vehicle engine may not idle for more than five minutes.
Exceptions — There are exceptions for:
65 mph on designated highways, 55 mph or less on other highways.
