Idaho is under federal OSHA jurisdiction which covers most private sector workers within the state. State and local government workers are not covered by federal OSHA.
Idaho’s Underground Facility Damage Prevention Act (Idaho Code § § 55-2201 – 55-2212) creates a system by which excavators can provide notice of intent to excavate to a one-number notification service and request field marking of underground facilities by the owners and operators of the facilities.
