Class	Description
Class A	Any combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, provided the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
Class B	Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more, and any such vehicle towing vehicle(s) not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
Class C	Any single vehicle less than 26,001 pounds GVWR and must have a P and/or H endorsement. May tow vehicles not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
Class D	Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,000 pounds or less or any such vehicle towing a vehicle with a GVWR not in excess of 10,000 pounds. Must be 18 years of age or under farm exemption if combined weight exceeds 26,000 pounds. May operate a farm tractor towing another vehicle having a gross weight in excess of 10,000 pounds, and may operate a truck towing a trailer in excess of 10,000 pounds provided the combined weight does not exceed 26,000 pounds GCWR.
