No. The consequences for engaging in conduct prohibited under the DOT regulations do not go away with the passage of time or a retest, or by switching employers. The driver must complete the necessary steps in order to perform a safety-sensitive function again (for anyone), and the process does not end until the very last follow-up test is completed.
