This American National Standard covers design, materials, fabrication, erection, test and inspection of power piping systems. This Standard does not apply to building heating and distribution steam piping designed for 15 psi gage or less, or hot water heating systems designed for 30 psi gage or less. Among other things, the standard requires that:
- Qualification records of welding procedures be kept, and
- Snow and ice (where applicable) be considered for live load.
