This publication covers various types of derricks (i.e., guy, stiff-leg, basket, breast, gin-pole, Chicago Boom, and A-frame derricks). Among other things, it requires that a load rating chart be affixed to permanently installed derricks, that frequent and periodic inspections be conducted, and that written inspection records of critical items be kept.
