This standard covers gas and arc welding for the production of high-quality welds in carbon and low-alloy steel piping. This publication covers the many different types of welding processes (i.e. shielded metal-arch welding, submerged arc welding, gas tungsten-arc welding, gas metal-arc welding). It also covers the acceptance standards to be applied to production welds tested to destruction or inspected by radiography.
