This standard covers safety requirements for industrial protective helmets for electrical workers. It covers specifications for these helmets to help protect against impact and penetration from falling or flying objects, and from high-voltage electric shock and burn. Among other things, it requires that headbands be made of comfortable material and that the helmet be accompanied by suspension adjustment instructions.
