Wyoming has adopted 390.15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs). Section 390.15 includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Section 390.15 applies to vehicles operating intrastate with a gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, gross vehicle weight, or gross combination weight of 26,001 pounds or more, or transporting hazardous materials in a quantity requiring placarding.
Accident reporting - Motor carrier
| Notification | The driver must notify local law enforcement if the accident results in:- Death
- Injury
- Property damage preventing normal and safe operation of the vehicle

Obtaining an accident report
| Procedure | A copy of an officer’s crash report may be obtained by writing to the Wyoming Department of Transportation and sending the required fee. Requests must include:- The name(s) of the driver(s) involved
- The date and location of the crash
- The case number (if you have it) and
- Your phone number and email address
