This standard applies to the installation of fuel gas piping systems, fuel gas utilization equipment, and related accessories. It offers general criteria for the non-industrial installation, operation, and maintenance of gas piping and gas equipment on consumer’s premises for use with natural gas, manufactured gas, liquid petroleum gas in the vapor phase, liquid petroleum gas-air mixtures, or mixtures of these gases. The standard does not apply to: Gas piping systems for industrial installations; or Gas equipment designed and installed for specific manufacturing, production, processing, and power generating applications.
