Prior to the creation of DOT’s Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, a driver’s DOT testing violation could easily slip through the cracks.
But the Clearinghouse provides a centralized location to store data on violations under 49 CFR Part 382 (DOT testing rules for CDL drivers). Even with this advancement, the Clearinghouse is only as accurate as the data it receives. That’s why anyone involved with DOT testing needs to understand who reports what to the database. It’s also important to know employer obligations when it comes to running Clearinghouse queries on commercial drivers.
This webcast will:
- Provide an overview of the Clearinghouse,
- Take a deeper dive into who reports what driver information,
- Explain when to request driver queries and how to respond to the results, and
- Provide scenarios to challenge your Clearinghouse knowledge.
