While a Father’s Day card would be nice, wouldn’t time to bond with a child be better? Under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), many new fathers have the ability to take leave from work, yet less than a quarter do so. If it applies to the organization, reiterate to employees that the FMLA allows eligible employees to take 12 weeks of unpaid leave when a child is born, adopted, or becomes ill, or when a pregnancy or illness requires a worker to care of a spouse.
