Virginia has adopted most federal OSHA standards and incorporates them by reference. The Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) Program has no additional requirements for Work zones, flaggers, signals, and barricades.

Note that some states have requirements for work zones and flaggers that fall under the state’s Department of Transportation regulations, in addition to the OSHA-related requirements listed here.
