Utah has adopted most federal OSHA standards and incorporates them by reference. The Utah Occupational Safety and Health Division (UOSH) has no additional requirements for work zones, flaggers, signals, and barricades. Utah does have its own state version of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (Utah MUTCD), which is linked below. As with the federal MUTCD, Part 6 is the part that relates to temporary traffic control.
Note that some states have requirements for work zones and flaggers that fall under the state’s Department of Transportation regulations, in addition to the OSHA-related requirements listed here.
